Silence can be
what kills us.
Sometimes, we choose to say nothing
for myriads of reasons,
we choose silence.
Silence is a doctor of sorts.
Its medicine takes time,
it takes will, and strength,
and perseverance,
and a lot of courage.
We all have our reasons.
It can be a weapon, silence,
or a stone wall of defense
It can be a shelter—
a safe and special place.
But sometimes,
silence can be
what kills us.
