Did you find yourself angry
at someone's acts, or faults,
or at your own?
Did you lose yourself
in ways you never imagined possible?
Did you witness the darkness
rise and consume parts of
and then whole of you?
Did it get you by surprise?
We are right to feel all that we do.
It is okay to feel angry, the rage.
It is okay to lose yourself,
every once in a while.
You should feel human.
But watch your anger, your rage—
watch what it makes of you,
watch how it moves you,
and what it does to you.
Let no damage come of it,
for it will be devastating,
and, in most cases,
irreparable.
It is okay to feel—
you exist to, and your existence
is complete because you do.
But let not your feelings
control you,
for you are a master of them—
it must ever be so.
