A new day is here 
I can get stuck 
on a feeling, a memory, 
on instances 
of momentary pleasure,  
or displeasure, 
or I could look up, 
and look forth, 
and live, 
and experience my moments, 
and appreciate 
every second 
of unpredictability. 
 
I am free. 
Am I not?
