Some pieces are meant for only you, not the world,
And yet, you give away; you cannot help but give…
And the world takes, it does nothing so better!
It takes as you give, it grows as it feeds, and grows…
To take more, until there is nothing of you left,
And yet, at the end, you still give your flesh away;
You give the last thing that binds you to the earth—
You become one who once was, a memory of life.
You have a gift, you who can afford to give—
It is good, blessings and what are good are yours.
Before you run dry, before you wither and die,
Look within you and water your other person;
Water that person with blessings of goodness,
Water your person with potential for kindness.
