We have faced many storms this year
Most have names for reminders
Our kids will know about this, some day
But they will not know how it felt
As the storms swept us by our feet
And maybe it’s a good thing
They will not see how hard the storms hit
Only the new life that blossomed after
And maybe it’s a good thing
