Cold Night

The cold creeped in through the cracks, and the sheets
And we cuddled, dressed in nudity and brevity
We kissed even with our mouths still shaking
But hands held together felt better, this night
Heavy rainfall poured down; it was full of rage
And our tired bodies knew nothing better, really
But each other; we cuddled closer for warmth
And the lights? They could stay on till morning!

That’s all I have today for postbythehour. I’ll share an excerpt from the poetry collection next, and then the book itself for anyone who’d like to read it. See you!😊
