Let (Me) Go

What does it really mean? To let go. Forgive? Absolve? Forget what happened? Unfeel?
I feel that letting go doesn’t really let you go. It’s not healing from pain, but merely releasing it. And often, the things that love to stick around don’t have the habit of asking for permission. Perhaps there’s another way to live life in peace after the loss of a piece of you. Or more. Perhaps, it’s not in letting go. What is it, anyway!
