Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to returnLeonardo da Vinci
I find imagination to be sweeter than what we’ve termed “reality.” After all, isn’t it the very cradle of it? But sweetness… I find it best, at the moment. They say good things take time. But I like to enjoy it now. Not savourably, for then, it develops monotony.
You can always try to actualize it; realize, and live a dream. But it can never be as you saw it. The way I see it, it’ll either be better or worse. Hardly ever the latter for a true believer. But never the same.
But I don’t want better or worse, before I taste the real thing. And that’s in a dream. Before I even think of actualizing it. Before it stirs my reality, enough that I toss everything else aside and decide to risk it. With an illusion of sorts, that has to become my reality. Well, didn’t they say we can create most of the things that mattered the most to us, on our own, and for us? What greatness! And yet, we’re not gods. Just mere dreamers.
Everything we touch is bound to die, just like the very perfection. So, I’d rather enjoy it there first. In a dream. Live it there first before I kill it on a page; feed it to look healthy, and dress it to sound catchy. Ah, let me live and die in it first. In its rawness. Oh, my dream! And live again, to actualize it. Maybe… just maybe, that’s the farthest as our touch with reality is bound. Perhaps, that’s why dreaming is divine. And yo, it’s literally all we truly have, the way I see it!
