I Speak After Rattled Beliefs

I speak after my rattled beliefs
For to doubt is to learn, and there’s plenty
What I held on to is falling bare beside me
And I can’t seem to ground my feet

Belief is the end of searching,
And the beginning of ignorance
And yet, no answer can quench
This thirst for sense, for everything else lost it

To believe is wiser than not to
For then there is lesser to lose
But I lost sanity seeking it in the masses
Feeding off of dry wells and hungry hands
